JAKARTA, KOMPAS - The Constitutional Court decided that only 20 cases out of 158 cases were continued to the further evidentiary stage. The examination of 138 other cases failed or was stopped for several reasons, such as the applicant did not have legal standing, the application was unclear or obscure, was withdrawn, or was dropped because the applicant did not attend the preliminary examination hearing.
The matters that have proceeded to the proof stage include, among others, the election disputes in Banjarbaru City, Pesawaran Regency, Magetan Regency, East Aceh Regency, Tasikmalaya Regency, Mimika Regency, Pasaman Regency, Sabang Regency, and North Gorontalo Regency.
In addition, there are also disputes in the regional elections of Lamandau Regency, West Bangka Regency, Palopo Regency, Governor of Bangka Belitung Islands, Empat Lawang Regency, West Pasaman Regency, South Bengkulu Regency, Serang Regency, Parigi Moutong Regency, Banggai Regency, and Bungo Regency.
This was decided in the verdict/stipulation reading session on Tuesday (4/2/2025) from morning to night. In addition to stating that the examination of 20 cases would be continued, the Constitutional Court also issued a ruling for 27 cases that were withdrawn or withdrawn by the applicant and nine cases that were dropped, and stated that 97 cases could not be accepted due to legal standing issues or vague requests, and six cases were not accepted because they were not within the authority of the Constitutional Court.
