Dubai, Tuesday – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, Tuesday (6/24/2025) stressed that there is no agreement on a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. However, he added, if Israel stops its illegal aggression against Iran, no later than 04:00 Tehran time, Iran has no intention of continuing the retaliatory attack.
"The final decision regarding the termination of our military operations will be made later," Araqchi wrote in a post on X.
Previously, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, claimed that Iran and Israel had agreed to a total and comprehensive ceasefire. This statement came shortly after Iran attacked the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Monday night.
The statement regarding the ceasefire originated from Trump's post on his social media account, Truth Social. He wrote that a phased ceasefire lasting 24 hours would begin at midnight on Tuesday.

According to Trump, the ceasefire will provide time for Iran and Israel to conclude and resolve their final missions. "Officially, that is the end of the war," wrote Trump.
Like Iran, Israel has so far not acknowledged the existence of the ceasefire. The Israeli military declined to comment on Trump's statement, while the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
A similar stance was also expressed by the United Nations mission in Iran.
Referring to an Iranian television report, while Trump claimed a ceasefire, Israel continued its attacks. In a broadcast, the program host stated that, alongside Trump's claims, Israel bombed several targets in Tehran, Urmia, and Rasht.

On the other hand, around the same time, Iran attacked the US Air Base, Al Udeid in Qatar. The attack was Iran's retaliation for the US strikes on the nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan last Saturday.
A senior officer of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Qatar Shayeq Al Hajri, stated that Iran fired 19 missiles at the base. As is known, Al Udeid serves as a base for U.S. Combined Air Operations. The base is also home to the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, the largest air fleet in the world.
In a public statement, the Iranian government, through television broadcasts, stated that the attack was a powerful and successful response to American aggression. "We do not initiate war nor do we desire it. However, we will not allow the great invasion of Iran to go unanswered," wrote Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on his X account before the attack was carried out.
