Separately, the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has held a cross-sectoral coordination meeting regarding preparations for 2025 Eid transportation. Each dimension, including land, air, sea, and railways, has its own notes.
In the context of the railway sector, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi said that his party will continue the train without transit or direct train. This type of train serves the Jakarta-Semarang and Jakarta-Yogyakarta routes. The hope is that the existence of this train can add options for people who will use this mode.
Previously, the transit-free train had been operated during the 2024/2025 Christmas and New Year holidays. The travel duration was cut by around 15-20 minutes. The Gambir-Semarang Tawang route usually takes 5-6 hours. Now the route is being attempted to be taken under 5 hours. The duration of the Jakarta-Yogyakarta route has also been cut, from around 7 hours targeted to around 6 hours.
Reflecting on the evaluation of Christmas and New Year's transportation 2024/2025, Karawang Station will continue to operate to accommodate the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train journey. Safety aspects remain the main priority.

In addition to railways, the government also discussed a number of policies that will be implemented during the 2025 Eid holiday. This includes the land, air and sea transportation sectors.
Dudy said that the readiness of road infrastructure and public transportation will be a special concern. This is in conjunction with traffic engineering management and other security aspects.
In the maritime sector, the government has given notes to anticipate vehicle density around the port. Efforts to slow down or delaying system towards ports in Banten, namely Merak, Ciwandan, and Bandar Bakau Jaya Bojonegara.
In the air sector, plans for integrating airport accessibility and arranging airport slot capacity have been prepared. Optimizing terminals for low-cost carriers (LCC) to accommodate the surge in passengers.

He also tried to have the airfare prices re-implemented as during the previous holiday period. This policy is considered to have a positive impact on the national aviation industry.
Because, domestic flight mobility grew by around 10.3 percent annually. The average occupancy rate (load factor) was 80 percent.
"The Ministry of Transportation has and will continue to coordinate with stakeholders related to air transportation, to discuss plans to reduce airline ticket prices during the 2025 Eid holiday. In principle, we have the same spirit to provide affordable ticket prices for the community," said Dudy.
On the same occasion, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, ordered the Ministry of Transportation to strengthen the task force and homecoming posts for Eid. Cooperation with the Ministry of Home Affairs also needs to be coordinated to support smooth traffic flow, especially in the main destination areas for homecoming.
"The Ministry of Transportation needs to compile a study on the implementation of work from anywhere to reduce density at the peak of the homecoming flow, simplify business processes at Merak Port, build new piers in Cilegon and Merak, and activate Situbondo Anchor Port according to budget availability," said Agus.
