Tempo Editorial Office Sent Pig's Head

The package addressed to Cica was received by Tempo's security personnel on Wednesday at 4:15 PM WIB. At Tempo, Cica is the nickname of Francisca Christy Rosana, a political desk journalist and host of the Bocor Alus Politik podcast.

However, Cica only received it on Thursday (20/3/2025) at 3:00 PM. At that time, she had just finished covering a story with Tempo reporter Hussein Abri Yusuf Muda Dongoran.

Upon receiving the package from the security officer, Cica brought the package into the office. Hussein then assisted Cica in opening the box.

Until now, Tempo has not been able to identify the sender of the package containing a pig's head. There was no address or sender's name included in the package.

Tempo Editor-in-Chief Setri Yasra said the sending of the package containing the pig's head was a form of terror against press freedom. "We are preparing the next steps in response to this incident," Setri said.
