TURIN, MONDAY – The duel between Juventus and AC Milan on Monday (October 6, 2025) WIB, at the Allianz Arena Stadium, Turin, ended in a goalless draw, aka 0-0. Despite the lack of a winner, the two legendary Italian teams proved they are worthy contenders for the Scudetto, or Italian League title, this season.
Bringing home only one point from Juventus' home ground caused Milan to be displaced from the top position. They dropped to third place, two points behind Napoli and AS Roma.
Meanwhile, Juve are stuck in fourth place. "The Old Lady" has a collection of 12 points, level with Inter Milan.
These five teams have already shown signs of a strong fight for the 2025-2026 Serie A title. The season is still a long way off, with seven months remaining, but one of the top five teams has a good chance of securing the Scudetto ahead of the international break in the second week of October.
Milan, for instance, has begun to find consistency under the new yet familiar coach, Massimiliano Allegri. The record of four consecutive victories for "I Rossoneri" may have come to an end at the Juventus home ground. However, they have certainly demonstrated a solid defense.

Allegri is gradually restoring Milan's defensive side, which was the main reason they were eliminated from the European club zone last season. Luka Modric and his teammates have already recorded four clean sheets by the sixth week.
The record of goals conceded by the French goalkeeper, Mike Maignan, is 0.5 goals per match. This figure is significantly better than the record of 1.13 goals conceded per match in the 2024-2025 season.
Together with Allegri, Milan is increasingly solid in implementing the three-center-back formation. Strahinja Pavlovic, Matteo Gabbia, and Fikayo Tomori have emerged as the most formidable trio of defenders in Italy at present.
At a relatively young age, the three defenders have the potential to restore Milan's identity, which produced legendary defenders such as those from the 1980s to the 1990s, including Franco Baresi, Alessandro Costacurta, and Paolo Maldini. The condition is that these three center-backs must be able to maintain their stable performance.
"The positive thing is that we didn't concede. However, in some moments, we should have killed the game off," Allegri said, as quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, regarding his impressions of Juve's return to the pitch.

After eight seasons in two terms managing La Vecchia Signora, Allegri returned to Allianz Arena as an opponent for the first time. Although he no longer wore the Juve badge on his suit, Juve supporters gave him a warm welcome as he headed to the technical area before the kickoff of the first half of the match.
His name is chanted by Juve supporters. In fact, Juve fans in the Curva Sud group displayed a giant banner with the words "We are always proud of you. Thank you for everything, Max Allegri."
"It was an emotional moment. I witnessed many people who worked with me, people who supported me for eight years. I am grateful (for that reception), but now I am in Milan," said Allegri, who contributed five Serie A trophies to Juve.
Meanwhile, Juve is one of the teams, alongside Atalanta, that has yet to suffer a defeat in the Italian League this season. However, Juve has experienced five consecutive draws, including three matches in the Italian League.
Consecutive defeats have caused Igor Tudor's team to fall three points behind Napoli and Roma. In fact, Juve had briefly matched Napoli with three victories in the early matches.

Tudor acknowledged that a draw was fair for both teams. Juve failed to score despite accumulating 1.17 expected goals (xG) from one chance, while Milan had 1.74 xG from three big chances. The best chance came from Christian Pulisic's penalty kick, which went wide in the 53rd minute.
"We wanted to win, both teams created chances, and in the end a draw was fair," Tudor told DAZN.
He added, "with two goals that we should have scored in two matches, we could have achieved two victories. This is football. We must continue to work to stay on the right track."
When Juve and Milan shared one point, Napoli and Roma demonstrated their winning mentality in the sixth week match on Sunday (5/9/2025). They came back to win 2-1 after initially falling behind.
Roma secured victory over Fiorentina. Meanwhile, Napoli also had to fight back from a one-goal deficit against Genoa.

After the players' international break, the battle for the top spot in the league will be fierce again. Roma will face a test against Inter at the Stadio Olimpico on October 19th.
Napoli will strive to maintain its position at the top of the standings when visiting Torino's home ground. On the other hand, Juve and Milan will face challenges from dark horse teams that have the potential to present difficult challenges, namely Como and Fiorentina.
"This will be a complicated season. We must have the spirit to face it because I believe this season will lay the foundation for the club's future," said Antonio Conte, the coach of Napoli.
