Four weeks in the Italian League will be a test for AC Milan. If they can overcome this challenge, Milan will be on the right track to continue trailing Inter Milan in the title race.

AC Milan may have forgotten the feeling of defeat. The problem is, even though they remain unbeaten, AC Milan also struggles when faced with opportunities to secure victory. The next four weeks, which will be marked by encounters with teams that are theoretically weaker, will pose both a challenge and a gamble for "The Red and Black."
AC Milan will begin this crucial four-week period with a visit to Pisa's home ground at the Romeo Anconetani Stadium, on Saturday (14/2/2026) in the early hours of WIB. Subsequently, Milan will host Como and Parma, before visiting Cremonese.
The club nicknamed "I Rossoneri" or "The Red and Black" arrived at Pisa's home ground with the status of an unbeaten team in 22 league matches this season, as well as being a formidable team when playing away. Throughout the 23 weeks of the 2025-2026 Serie A, AC Milan has only suffered one defeat.
The negative result was experienced by Mike Maignan and his teammates in the first week when facing Cremonese, 1-2. After that, they have always won or drawn.

From the series of unbeaten matches, 12 of them were played away from home. The details show that Milan achieved seven victories and five draws. This record is the best for the club since the 2003-2004 season.
However, the defeat to Cremonese actually serves as an early alarm regarding the challenges of facing a team that is ostensibly weaker. Cremonese, currently occupying the 16th position in the standings with only five victories, is a team that has just been promoted to Serie A for the 2025-2026 season. Instead of being confident, Milan appeared nervous, failed to play clinically, and ultimately succumbed.
The team coached by Massimiliano Allegri has only managed to earn 15 points from a total of 11 matches against teams in the lower half of the standings, including Sassuolo, Parma, Genoa, Cremonese, and Pisa. In contrast, when facing top teams such as Inter Milan, Napoli, Juventus, and AS Roma, Milan has been able to collect 18 points from 8 matches.
At the beginning of the month, during their visit to Bologna's home ground at the Renata Dall’Ara Stadium, Milan recorded a victory with more than one goal for the first time in two matches. Milan won 3-0, but this victory was not enough to satisfy Allegri nor guarantee similar results in the subsequent matches.

"We need to control the ball better. Furthermore, our passes must be precise, and we must make the right decisions on the pitch," Allegri said, as quoted by La Gazzetta dello Spor.
It is reasonable for Allegri to demand more. Moreover, despite remaining unbeaten, Milan has drawn more matches than they have won. Out of 23 matches, "I Rossoneri" have recorded eight draws. As a result, they are trailing five points behind Inter Milan, who have already lost four times this season.
In the previous meetings with Pisa, Parma, Como, and Cremonese, Milan could only secure one victory. The three points were earned during the match against Como, which ended with a score of 3-1. In the other matches, aside from losses, Milan could only manage to draw.
From the beginning, Allegri has always been modest when asked about championship targets. He stated that Milan's main objective in this season's Serie A is to finish in the top four to qualify for the Champions League again.
Fabio Capello, who led AC Milan to four Scudettos and one Champions League trophy, called this approach a game of hide-and-seek. However, Capello believes Allegri's stance is a wise approach, as there are risks involved in uttering the word "scudetto" in public.

Nevertheless, there is actually a great opportunity for Milan to focus on the title chase. Not only should they maintain their unbeaten streak, but Milan should also be able to sweep all four matches against the lower-ranked teams, in addition to Como, who are mid-table, thus keeping their chances of competing closely with Inter.
Furthermore, Milan will also be boosted by the return of the club's top scorer this season with 10 goals, Christian Pulisic. Several sources in Italy, including Milan News, reported that Pulisic returned to team training on Wednesday morning (February 11, 2026). Pulisic was sidelined for the match against Bologna due to injury.
In addition, unlike Inter or Juventus, Milan also does not have an agenda in European competitions. In fact, Milan has been eliminated from the Coppa Italia, allowing them to fully focus their energy on Serie A.
"The target is to finish in the top four. However, playing for Milan means always wanting to win. So it's natural that I'm thinking about it (the Scudetto)," Milan center-back Koni De Winter told Tuttomercatoweb.
