JAKARTA, KOMPAS - For the security measures during the Idul Fitri festivities, a total of 164,268 joint personnel from the Indonesian National Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces, and ministries/agencies will be deployed across 2,894 security posts and other vulnerable points.
This was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, General Police (Ret.) Budi Gunawan, during the Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting in preparation for the security measures for Eid al-Fitr 1446 H in 2025, held at the Mutiara Auditorium of STIK-PTIK Lemdiklat Polri, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Monday (10/3/2025).
Budi said, in addition to security, the government is also preparing transportation and transportation infrastructure, including land, air and sea transportation.

In accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's directive to ensure the state's presence and provide a sense of security and comfort to the public, the government is also ensuring the availability of essential goods and fuel during the implementation of the homecoming and Eid celebrations.
Next is the disaster response preparedness presented by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), and others, accompanied by disaster response task forces based on several disaster predictions that may still occur.
The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), General Agus Subiyanto, who also attended the meeting, stated that TNI has deployed 66,714 personnel to assist in securing Eid al-Fitr. Some of the personnel will be assigned to assist the National Police (BKO), while others will remain on standby in their respective regions.
The TNI also supports security measures by deploying primary weaponry systems (alutsista). The mentioned alutsista includes nine units of Boeing, Hercules, CN, and Cassa aircraft, 12 helicopter units, as well as tactical vehicles, trucks, and ambulances.

The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces emphasized the importance of synergy between the Armed Forces, the Police, and other institutions to ensure public safety during Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr celebrations. Regarding security during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, the Commander of the Armed Forces revealed that his team has identified various vital objects requiring special attention during this period.
TNI security priorities will be focused on mosques, airports, stations, terminals, shopping centers, and tourist locations. In addition, there are also integrated posts to monitor the situation and posts in several rest areas and other places considered vulnerable.
Also present at the event were, among others, the Minister of Tourism, Minister of Transportation, Minister of Religion, Minister of Trade, Chief of Police, Head of Basarnas, Head of Bapanas, President Director of Jasa Marga, Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of PT Pertamina, President Director of PT Jasa Raharja, Deputy for Emergency Response of BNPB, Head of BMKG, and Director General of Highways.
