"A mandate and a challenge..."
That's what Pramono Anung said in his inaugural speech as Governor of DKI Jakarta 2025-2030. He tried to answer those two big responsibilities, together with Rano Karno, in the first 100 days of his leadership in Jakarta.
Pramono said he still did not expect to become governor. Moreover, he had never been to Jakarta City Hall, during his time as a PDI-P official or state official.
So in his inaugural speech before the Jakarta DPRD, Thursday (20/2/2025), the former Cabinet Secretary is determined to improve basic services for residents. He also wants to resolve classic urban problems while bringing Jakarta as an inclusive, more advanced, and more prosperous global city.
To realize the vision and mission during the campaign, Pramono-Rano has formulated various priority programs. This program is promised to be sustainable, including involving the community in a dialogue forum.
He has referred to it several times as the 40 best quick wins programs of the first 100 days. First, before heading to the inauguration location at the State Palace.
Second, during the handover of office at Jakarta City Hall. Pramono mentioned it again during his inaugural speech before the legislative members.

In front of the council members, Pramono opened 12 priority programs. He started with the improvement of the education services of the Jakarta Smart Card and the Jakarta Excellent Student Card, as well as the trial of free private schools.
Both then expanded access to public transportation, walking, and cycling. This includes free public transportation for 15 groups of people.
Furthermore, JAKI will be developed into a super application. In fact, the public can access 24-hour mental health services.
There is also expanding access to clean water and drinking water. The target is ambitious, reaching 100 percent in 5 years.
In addition, the city park will be open 24 hours. Its function is as a space for expression and economic activities of MSMEs.
Pramono-Rano then wanted to start the transit-oriented area (ToD) project of Blok M and Bundaran HI. These two areas carry the concept of community-based economy, culture, and transportation hubs.
The job market is opened wide through job fairs. This is to encourage community participation and productivity.

In addition, flood control is carried out in an integrated and sustainable manner. River dredging and embankment construction are priorities.
Similarly, sustainable and sufficient infrastructure development. Among them are strategic projects, such as the RDF Plant Rorotan, the Jakarta Sewerage System, and coastal and land connectivity.
Three other priority programs are controlling food inflation, improving the quality and achievements of sports, and advancing Betawi culture.
Pramono's inaugural speech was greeted with applause. The Jakarta DPRD emphasized cooperation and mutual control for the benefit of the community.
On the sidelines, Member of the PSI Faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Justin Adrian asked Pramono-Rano to open access to the draft APBD to the public.
"We find it difficult to discuss the budget in a short time. In the future, it needs to be opened. The hope is transparency because there was a finding of the purchase of 2 projectors for up to IDR 250 million," said Justin.
However, the discussion was interrupted by other council members. They asked for the discussion to be held at another time.

As the day gets later, Jakarta City Hall is still bustling. It's the residents' turn to enjoy free snacks and a public entertainment stage, while hoping that Pramono-Rano will keep their campaign promises.
Pramono expressed his gratitude, gratitude, and gratitude for the support of all parties to him and Rano. As a result, they won one round.
"Allow us to work hard, make us happy, fix, perfect, resolve issues including complaints about KJP, Health Cards, the disabled, and the elderly. Give us time to complete it," Pramono told residents.
He also emphasized that there are no more candidate pairs number 1, number 2 or number 3. All the people of Jakarta, let's work together to build and advance our beloved city.
Rano added that both of them will immediately step on the gas. In the next week, he will lead all regional apparatus organizations. In the meantime, Pramono must attend a retreat or orientation for regional heads at the Military Academy, Magelang, Central Java, from February 21-28.
"Tomorrow morning, dredge the river. All rivers simultaneously. Starting from Pluit Reservoir," said Rano.
He also promised to recruit field officers to be adequate. For example, the orange troops (Handling of Public Infrastructure and Facilities/PPSU) with not too ambitious requirements, namely must be able to read and write.
Jakarta, Rano added, also needs thousands of additional blue troops (Water Resources Agency) and fire and rescue officers.

The statement immediately received cheers. One of them was Riris (56), a resident of East Jakarta. She is a single parent who has to pay for her children's schooling.
"We will assist with KJP administration and if possible, we will provide work to increase income," said Riris.
On the other hand, Bachtiar (50), an activist at Sanggar Si Pitung Rawa Belong, West Jakarta, only asked for one thing. Betawi people should not be guests in their own homeland.
"Please pay attention to Betawi culture. We should not be spectators. If possible, our children should get scholarships so they can be competitive," said Bachtiar.
The hopes of Pramono-Rano, council members, and residents are certainly the best prayers for Jakarta. The wish is more or less the same as the sound of the pantun that welcomed Pramono-Rano's arrival at Jakarta City Hall.
"Patin fish tied with fishing line
Put it on the ground
Let's pray for the governor and deputy governor
"To serve successfully and responsibly"
