Pramono-Rano Immediately Discuss "Quick Wins" and Meet Rainbow Troops After Being Inaugurated

JAKARTA, KOMPAS - Pramono Anung and Rano Karno will immediately step on the gas after the inauguration and welcoming as Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta. The two will discuss, among other things, quick wins in the first 100 days and meet the rainbow troops as the vanguard of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

President Prabowo Subianto will inaugurate 481 elected regional heads, including Pramono-Rano, at the State Palace in Jakarta, Thursday (20/2/2025). After that, both will move to the Jakarta City Hall for a welcoming ceremony and a plenary meeting to deliver their inaugural speech at the Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD DKI Jakarta).

Pramono ensured that he would discuss 40 programs with the best quick results (quick wins) in the first 100 days before the retreat or orientation of regional heads at the Military Academy, Magelang, Central Java, on February 21-28, 2025. These are what was conveyed during the campaign period.

"We do not promise what cannot be done. There is the Jakarta Smart Card, Jakarta health, diploma arrears clearance, starting to prepare the construction of community centers, adding CCTV (surveillance cameras), trial of free private schools, and parks in five regions open 24 hours," said Pramono before heading to the State Palace.

This PDI-P politician will also meet the rainbow troops consisting of the orange troops (Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling/PPSU), the blue troops (Water Resources Agency), the yellow troops (Highways Agency), the green troops (Parks and City Forests Agency), and others.

"We want to meet and encourage the work morale of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's field troops," said Pramono.

In addition, the former Cabinet Secretary will continue the legacy of the previous Governor of Jakarta. For instance, Jakarta Update serves as a platform for the mass media to engage in the development of Jakarta.

"Tomorrow I will go on a retreat for eight days. Bang Doel (Rano Karno) will lead the government and we will communicate several matters that will be decided soon after more than 2 years of Jakarta being led by the Acting Governor," said Pramono.

Pramono-Rano had previously met with the Chairperson of PDI-P, Megawati Soekarnoputri. The meeting included directives regarding campaign promises and future government plans.

Bang Doel mentioned that Megawati conveyed the duties and functions as a regional head. This is primarily as a representation of the central government in the region.

"I said do not ignore the President's direction even though Jakarta has its own program. Continue to monitor the central program until it is completed. The point is to improve the welfare of the community," said Rano.
